A masked singer has returned to the spotlight after her career was derailed by a serious injury and the release of a new album.
Michael Singer, an artist known for his distinctive voice, was a singer and songwriter who sang on songs by Pink Floyd and The Eagles.
But he was hospitalized in January 2016 with severe pneumonia and died the following month.
The singer had been on hiatus since July, and his wife, Peggy Sue Singer, announced on Instagram that she and their four children would no longer perform live.
“I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me through this difficult time,” she wrote.
“My family and I would not have the joy of seeing me sing without your love, support and prayers.
I love you all.”
Singer’s daughter, Peggy, said in a statement that she was “devastated and hurt” to learn about Singer’s death.
“It has been a terrible time for Peggy and my family,” she said.
“We will miss Michael Singer dearly, but I hope to make up for lost time and all the pain that we have been through.”
