Singer Selena, who was born in South Africa and raised in New York City, recently told The Associated Press that she feels “more like a celebrity now than I did when I was a child”.
In the wake of the release of her new film “Silent Nights” last week, Selena and her bandmates from the musical hit “The Singing Singer” have spoken to reporters about their own personal struggles.
“You go to a place and you are surrounded by people who are your peers,” Selena told AP.
“When you go out and perform with them, they are there, and they are your friends.
That is what it’s all about.
They are your fans, and you need them to be your friends.””
It’s all the things that you have to do to be successful and that’s what we’re trying to do.
We want to make a living off of singing and we are so lucky that we have so many people around us who are so passionate about it,” she added.
Selena is one of the most celebrated singing figures in recent history.
She was born on January 22, 1974, in Johannesburg to parents of mixed African-American and Caucasian descent.
Her father was a musician and his mother a singer and songwriter.
Her family moved to New York from the South African city of Pretoria when Selena was six years old.
“She was a little bit of a different person, but it’s a little more than that,” Selenad told The Daily Beast.
“I’ve always known she was going to be a singer, so she was the one who made me decide to become a singer.
She has said that her music is “very personal”, with her music and her family “very important in my life”.””
She taught me how to do the singing and how to get in the right mindset, and I’m so thankful to her for that.”

“I don’t think of myself as a person,” she told The AP.
“I know that when I sing I’m singing for myself, and for my friends and my family.”
In the musical, Selenena sings the roles of two young African-Americans who are part of the South Africa-born African-Caribbean community.
In her song “Proud to Be an American”, Selena sings: “I love you all, I love the place you call home.
I love your smiles, I’ve seen them on your faces.”
Selena’s performance in the film, which has sold more than a million tickets in its first week, has sparked a fierce debate over race and music.
Critics have slammed the film’s portrayal of African-African relationships, with critics including The New York Times calling it “an insult to the lives of millions of Africans who live in the U.S.”
Selenad’s songwriting career has been a highlight of her career.
In 2016, she was nominated for the Golden Globe for her performance in “The Book of Mormon”.
She is also a founding member of the Grammy-nominated Black American Music Award and has been nominated for three Grammy Awards: Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Performance and Best Jazz Solo Performance.
